The Hague, 22 October 2013 – The recently appointed OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities (HCNM), Astrid Thors, during her first visit to Kosovo tomorrow will visit a language training programme for municipal officials in Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje.

The HCNM’s office has been funding the training programme delivered by the European Center for Minority Issues (ECMI) in ten municipalities since 2011. The aim of the training is to improve the provision of municipal services in Albanian and Serbian - the official languages in Kosovo.

Media representatives are cordially invited to attend the event tomorrow, Wednesday, 23 October, at the Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje municipal building, at 9:30am.

The OSCE HCNM, Astrid Thors, the Kosovo Language Commissioner, Slaviša Mladenović, and the Head of ECMI Kosovo, Adrian Zeqiri, will be available for questions and photos opportunity following the visit to the training Centre.
