High Commissioner on National Minorities 20th anniversary conference

In anticipation of the 20th anniversary of the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities (HCNM) next year, the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) organized a conference on the "HCNM 20 Years On" in Flensburg on 6 July 2012.

The OSCE HCNM, Ambassador Knut Vollebaek, delivered a speech on “HCNM at 20: the challenges of change – continued”.

The conference also featured a panel of speakers, including Arie Bloed, Editor-in-Chief of Security and Human Rights of the Netherlands Helsinki Committee; ECMI Director Tove H. Malloy; ECMI Chairman Knud Larsen; David Galbreath, University of Bath; Wolfgang Zellner, Deputy Director of the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy, and Head of the Centre for OSCE Research, at the University of Hamburg (IFSH); and Krzysztof Drzewicki, Minister Counsellor in the Polish Foreign Affairs Ministry.
